 LOCAL ADMINISTRATION PROGRAMME
 
QUALIFICATION AWARDED
The students are awarded with Associate Degree in Local Administration after completing all requirements of curriculum programme successfully and fulfilling all other requirements of graduation.

SPECIFIC ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
The students' admission to Higher Education is based on a nation-wide Student Selection Examination (ÖSS). The examination is held once in a year and administered by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM). The candidates are registered to Higher Education Institutions according to their examination scores and their high school grade point averages.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
There is limitation on the maximum period of study.

RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING
The students of our university have the right to request the recognition of prior learning from their previous universities. For the recognition of their prior learning, they should submit their transcript and course contents to the relevant department in the first semester of registration year.

HISTORY                      
Local Administration Programme was found officially in 2013-2014 Academic Year. Evening education has started an admission procedure in 2014-2015 Academic Year. Evening education was closed in 2022- 2023 Academic Year.A total number of students is 52.
 
PROFILE OF THE PROGRAMME
The main purpose of Local Administration Programme is to train the students who can be employed in local governmental departments (Municipalities, Special Provincial Administrations, village legal entities.), other public institutions and organizations, and private sector organizations. Local Administration Programme aims to educate students after high school during two years. The students have internship during 30 working days. The students should take and achieve all compulsory and elective courses.

PROGRAMME OUTCOMES
1. Theoretical knowledge in the field of public administration and local governments to use in working life and lifelong learning to be conscious.
2. To have the ability to use the functions of local government, public administration to adapt to contemporary approaches.
3. Problems encountered in professional practice to identify, analyze and propose solutions to have the ability to bring.
4. Professional legal regulations to be equipped, and keep track of changes, use the.
5. Local and collective needs, expectations, and to have knowledge about efficient service delivery.
6. Turkish political life, political orientations, political power, political culture and to have competence in matters of contemporary political ideologies.
7. Understanding of contemporary urbanism, urban planning, urban land management, housing and environmental issues and policies to be competent.
8. Decentralization, local democracy and civil society to gain competence on a case.
9. Having the necessary values in the field of professional ethics; written-verbal communication and correspondence with the field of information-communication technologies and be able to use.
10. Land use plans, zoning laws and regulations to have knowledge of subjects covered.
11. The process of globalization and the country's internal dynamics, to analyze the process of democratization.
12. The Constitution, fundamental rights and freedoms, civil servants, law and public law legislation have sufficient knowledge about professional ethics.

EXAM REQULATION & ASSESMENT & GRADING
Each student must attend the courses, applied studies, laboratories, projects, seminars, workshops, graduation projects and other studies of the semester. Students who have not attended at least 70 % of theoretical courses and 80% of applied and laboratory studies are not allowed to take the final exam of those courses. Examinations are conducted generally in written form. However, the instructor of the course may decide to conduct the exam in the oral form. Taking into consideration the type of the course, the instructor can give extra tasks such as research projects or laboratories. Examinations are arranged and conducted by the instructors teaching the courses. The students should submit the relevant excuse document and application letter on the first day of finishing final examination in order to be entitled to take an excuse exam.

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
To succeed in the programme, the students should complete successfully all courses (optional and compulsory) and average grade must be 2.0 out of 4.

OCCUPATIONAL PROFILES OF GRADUATES
Students who graduate from Local Administration Programme, general administrative services to local and central government agencies and institutions work as a class have a chance to run or under contract. Workplace Training within the scope of professional practice, especially in two periods I-II and as a result of compulsory internship, many students are employed as contract employees in these institutions. Local governments, central and local administration units, personnel affairs of various public institutions, editorial, public relations, human resources departments of employment in the private sector have the opportunity to our students.
In addition, graduate students, municipalities, Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Special Provincial Administrations, as districts and public institutions, civil servants and contract staff are employed and those who Consultancy Mayor.

ACCESS TO FURTHER STUDIES
The graduates who successfully complete their associate training have the opportunity to apply to related undergraduate programmes on condition that they acquire a sufficient mark from External Transfer Exam executed by OSYM (Student Selection and Placement Center). Bachelor’s Degrees:
